A longtime leader in the Taiwanese American community, she created the virtual literary reading series, Kòo-Sū: A Taiwanese Storytelling Experience. In 2023, she won the grand prize in the adult category of the Betty L. Yu and Jin C. Yu Creative Writing Prize. She is currently working on a memoir-in-essays about food as a lens for understanding her family and the history of Taiwan.
