Elizabeth Ward is a registered dietitian and award-winning nutrition communicator and writer. She has authored or co-authored 10 books for consumers about nutrition at all stages of life. Her books include The Menopause Diet Plan: A Natural Guide to Hormones, Health, and Happiness (co-author); Expect the Best: Your Guide to Healthy Eating Before, During and After Pregnancy; and MyPlate for Moms, How to Feed Yourself & Your Family Better. Liz specializes in women’s health from pregnancy to post-menopause. Her work has been featured in WebMD, Men’s Fitness, Muscle & Fitness Hers and Environmental Nutrition. Liz is also an experienced recipe developer who has worked with food companies and commodity boards to showcase their products.
Liz is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and several of its practice groups, and she was a national spokesperson for the group for nine years. She has appeared on The Today Show, CNN and in hundreds of print and online interviews, including U.S. News & World Report, The New York Times and The Boston Globe. Liz has been invited to speak at more than 100 professional meetings, including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo, the American College of Nurse-Midwives and the Florida Dietetic Association.
