4(4 ounce)chicken cutlets

½teaspoonground pepper, divided

¼teaspoonsalt, divided

1tablespoonextra-virgin olive oil

1largeshallot, finely chopped

1largeclove garlic, minced

½cuplow-sodium chicken broth

½cupheavy cream

1tablespoonlemon juice

1smalllemon, thinly sliced

2tablespoonschopped dill, plus more for garnish

Directions

Sprinkle chicken with 1/4 teaspoon pepper and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add the chicken; cook, turning once, until browned and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 165°F, 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a plate.
