Costco just announced a recall on a variety pack of protein bars, according to their recall page.This is due to an undeclared allergen in the product.
While the packaging claims that these bars are vegan, there may be undeclared dairy in the product. Those with dairy intolerance or allergies may experience a reaction after consuming one of these protein bars. In serious cases, this can include anaphylaxis, causing symptoms like hives, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, tightness of the throat or cardiac arrest.If you are showing signs of anaphylactic shock, call 911 immediately.
