Chick-fil-Ajust recalled theirPolynesian sauce dipping cupssince the product may contain an entirely different sauce with soy and wheat allergens.
According to the company’s warning notice shown at the top of theirwebsiteand in their app, the impacted sauce cups would have been “taken home between February 14-27, 2024.” This recall is nationwide and affects all Polynesian sauce cups sold during those dates.
There have yet to be any reported illnesses or allergic reactions due to this incident. However, Chick-fil-A is urging customers to discard the sauce cups immediately.
Anaphylaxisis life-threatening and can come on suddenly and progress rapidly, notes the ACAAI. Hives or swelling, tightness of the throat, hoarse voice, nausea and/or vomiting and more are signs you may be experiencing an anaphylactic reaction. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, call 911 immediately.
