With her husband and partner, David Martinez, Michelle owns and operates Michelle Bernstein Catering and a host of successful concepts including Sweet Liberty, Café La Trova and La Cañita. More recent projects include Michy’s Chicken Shack and Lunchería, both located in the Downtown Miami food hall, Julia & Henry’s. In 2022, Michelle partnered with CookUnity, a meal delivery service that brings her menu of fresh, precooked meals directly to people’s homes. Michelle is opening a modern take on her beloved, award-winning restaurant concept Sra. Martinez in Coral Gables in early 2024.Michelle hosts two television shows:Check, Please! South Floridaand the Emmy-award winning productionSoFlo Taste. She partnered with American Express to create the menu for the Centurion Lounge at Miami International Airport and is a Lexus Culinary Master. In her role as a consulting chef for Lugano Diamonds, she creates exceptional culinary experiences for nationwide events, as well as for their exclusive social club, Lugano Privé, located in Newport Beach. Michelle began the Florida chapter of Common Threads and sits on their board.
