Brooke’s culinary career began early when she served as a teacher’s assistant at the Epicurean Institute of Los Angeles at age 15. She went on to study under Ken Frank and Daniel Boulud, and became the youngest chef ever to cook at the James Beard House. She was executive chef at Boxer and Zax before she began opening her own restaurants, including Beechwood, Hudson House, the Tripel and Playa Provisions. Brooke has worked with brands such as Ziploc, T-Mobile, Pellegrino and Mastercard, and she was named a StarChefs Rising Star in 2004. Brooke lives in Los Angeles with her husband and business partner, Nick Roberts, and their son.
