And I am no exception. I got one last year, but as soon as the brand let me know they were launchingthis year’s calendar, I had no choice but to try it again.Bonne MamanTo buy:Bonne Maman 2023 Advent Calendar, $44.99,bonnemaman.usThe limited edition setlaunched just two months ago, and the brand sent over a sample of it for me to try. It features 23 limited edition spreads and one jar of honey, all hidden behind doors adorned with snowy holiday landscapes and Bonne Maman jams all throughout.Because I was testing it, I cheated and opened every door at once. Each tiny jar is just as cute as you’d expect. They’re one ounce each, with roughly a couple tablespoons of jam inside. Each jar has a checkered colored top, in different shades of pinks and reds and a blue. The seal that goes over the top of the jar to secure it is dotted with drawings of the ingredients inside, which is such a nice touch. The brand highlighted some of the flavors you might expect, like caramel with cinnamon and raspberry chocolate. And they listed these for a good reason — the raspberry chocolate is enough to pick up the calendar alone, in my opinion. It’s tart, fruity, and rich with chocolate. I spread some of it on a croissant, but I also found myself just eating it out of the jar. The caramel cinnamon spread was another highlight for me. It wasn’t what I’d expected — it wasn’t too sweet or spicy, and it had a really rich mouthfeel. My partner and I paired it with a little apple butter on toast for a simple snack. That’s another thing I love about these little spreads. They’re really easy to grab and use for so many different things. It’s my second year getting the calendar, and they lasted me really well throughout last year. I grabbed them to add into dressings (I love the fig cardamom spread to go in a balsamic vinaigrette), top toast, scones and biscuits with them, ate them out of the jar and had family members use them for marinades and more.Other highlights from this year’s selection were the cherry Christmas spice spread, apricot lavender and the strawberry rhubarb, though there are so many more exciting flavors to try. I found that some jams were sweeter than others, some were more tart, and they also varied in texture a bit. That is the fun of it all though. Tasting each spread feels like a treat in and of itself, and they’re the perfect size for sampling. The brand recommends eating them before June 2024, though each jam has its own best buy date to reference as well. It’s the perfect gift to give ahead of December, whether for a family member, friend, or for yourself. You’ll want to act fast though, since this calendar tends to sell out quickly, especially as we get closer to the holiday season. It’s one of the only advent calendars I enjoy every year, and I love it so much that I plan on gifting it to a few people this season myself.Pick up one of your own nowwhile it’s still available.Shop More Sets from Bonne Maman:Bonne MamanTo buy:Bonne Maman Seasonal Favorites Trio, $25.90,bonnemaman.usBonne MamanTo buy:Bonne Maman Made for You Gift Box, $21.90,bonnemaman.usBonne MamanTo buy:Bonne Maman Caramel Delight Spreads Trio, $23.90,bonnemaman.usBonne MamanTo buy:Bonne Maman Hazelnut Chocolate Twin Set $20.99,bonnemaman.usBonne MamanTo buy:Bonne Maman Perfect Pair Gift Set, $24.90,bonnemaman.usAt the time of publishing, the price was $44.99.Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback!Tell us why!OtherSubmit
